1.   UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD WE LIVE IN

A focus on building relationships including:
  • why we all view the world so differently and how this drives our behaviour.
  • what motivates us to action and how we break down the barriers in order to influence and persuade.
  • how we gain mutual understanding and trust
2.   BECOMING ORGANISED

The agenda continues with:
  • becoming organised and managing time more efficiently.
  • prioritising the workload to define responsibility and reduce conflicts.
  • evaluatig different styles of management and examining how and when each is appropriate.
  • using a management model to assist in the delegation of authoriyt with confidence and trust.
3.   COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY

Putting the new skills into practice requires effective communication skills, including:
  • selecting the corrrect medium to convey messages unequivocally.
  • understanding how best to gather information and clarifty and deletions, distortions and generalisations.
  • enhancing face -to-face liaisons through active listening and nonverbal communication.
4.   EVALUATING PERFORMANCE

Organisational performance encompasses people, projects processes and contracts.This module includes:
  • understanding how to generate a professional analysis of systems and processes through the power of a performance model.
  • the giving and receiving of performance-enhancing feedback.
5.   PLANNING FOR SUCCESS

The event concludes with the generation of a template for success that crafts 'well-formed outcomes' by:
  • understanding that a robust and structured decision making process supports the process of decision making and that each decisijon interacts with different strategies and the associated risk
Summer courses are held in major UK and European cities.

Winter courses are held in the Alps and can be combined with a free winter sports package.

TRANSPORT:
Private Transport; Woolsgrove Court provides spacious free parking and is easily accessible by private transport from the A377, Morchard Road. See map.
Public Transport; Woolsgrove Court on the Morchard Road is serviced by both rail and bus links to Exeter, First Great Western and Stagecoach respectively. Barnstaple is only linked by rail and all rail timetables are accessible here. The timetable for the number 50 bus which links Morchard Road to Exeter is here. The journey from the drop-off-points to Woolsgrove Court is over tarmac that is level and no more than 300M distant.
ACCOMMODATION:
