Effective Communication

Effective CommunicationThis 1 day communication course is designed to enable individuals to develop a better understanding of the communication process. It offers students an opportunity to explore four topics that lead to better relationships and interactions. These topics affirm with each communication that: ‘the meaning of the communication is the response you get’. Too often the initiator of the communication does not achieve the desired outcome because of poor communication skills. It is the perception of the recipient that determines the effectiveness of any interaction! So learn how to get what you want through effective communication.

IS THIS THE COURSE FOR YOU?  This “Effective communication” course is compact and provides people and professional bodies with lasting benefits. It is designed so each student will gain a comprehensive understanding of the communication process. It enables people to positively influence a desired outcome by communicating effectively.

Occasionally, there might be times when you can’t always see another person’s point of view or maybe nobody is listening to what you have to say. Perhaps you feel a little awkward when expressing an opinion. The reasons for poor communication can be too numerous to detail. However, when the interaction fails, there is often an emotional cost which frequently leads to a business cost. So, if you want to avoid the blame culture and be an effective member of the team you can. All you have to do is select this course and learn to communicate effectively.

COURSE CONTENT:

Understanding the world we live in. This lesson allows us to look at the reasons why we all see the world so differently. It provides an opportunity for us to consider how we perceive situations and recall ‘facts’ of what is ‘right’ and what is ‘wrong’. Moreover, it provides us with sufficient information to create solid foundations and become a flexible communicator.

Verbal Communication This lesson informs us of the different language patterns in use in the private and business world today. Some of these language patterns are more effective than others depending on the situation and the context. So we explore these avenues and begin to gain the knowledge of verbal influence.

Diminishing the Possibilities This lesson acknowledges our need to explore the potential options available to a communicator during an interaction between people. It allows us to discover the skills necessary to elicit and scrutinize information from others. Furthermore our students acquire the language skills necessary to diminish the possibilities of misunderstanding.

Consequence  This lesson provides us with a chance to investigate the consequence of a passage of information between 2 or 3 parties. It allows us also to view this information from a number of different employment positions. It provides us with an opportunity to understand why misunderstanding or conflict can arise. Furthermore, during this lesson you will learn to resolve minor conflict and misunderstanding.
